Engineering
A small group of motivated and dedicated maintenance personnel, who seek to continuously develop their talents and skills. They are responsible for the overall operations of equipment & systems, general maintenance and facilities management of Congressional Country Club and all buildings on this expansive campus.
Housekeeping
A group of individuals that pride themselves on providing a clean and organized environment within our beautiful Clubhouse. This team focuses primarily on performing duties in the most efficient and effective way, so that our Members can feel a sense of pride when they visit or stay with in our overnight accommodations. It is an elastic operation comprised of up to 13 Team Members, a working supervisor and Director with cleaning duties scheduled throughout the day, seven days a week. Some areas of responsibility include our guest rooms, all Clubhouse common areas, Food & Beverage Operations, Fitness Center, Pool Areas, Tennis Clubhouse and other buildings.
Guest Rooms & Front Desk Operations
The Front Desk team strives to provide exceptional hospitality to both the membership and the employees of the Club. As a central hub of phone calls, reservations, and Club communication, the Front Desk operation is always staffed 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Aside from regularly working side-by-side with our Housekeeping, Security and Engineering teams, they take reservations for not only for events and restaurants, but for our 21 sleeping rooms as well. The third floor of our clubhouse is a sleeping rooms destination for both our members and their sponsored guests. The Front Desk team is always willing to assist with any needs and collaborates regularly with the entire team to make the member and guest experience their home away from home.
Youth Activities
The Youth activities division (otherwise known as the Congo Kids) consists of both children and family programing throughout the entire year. Social events for children ages 4 and up are offered at least twice a month, and include innovative concepts such as a Lego Bash, Mother Daughter Tea, Family Camp Out, Fall Festival and more! We also celebrate all holidays with our families, and over the winter months alone welcome Congo Kids for over 5 events including our magical Evening with Santa. We are constantly developing the program to allow for the Club to be a fun and exciting destination for our children, with the goals of simply creating magic and memories.
In addition to the events in the Youth program, we offer a summer camp called Camp Chicataw. The creative, passionate and energetic camp team is responsible for executing the program for 8 weeks of the summer, each week with a different theme to experience. The sessions include recreation such as tennis, swimming, and bowling and extra curricular's such as science, music, dance and crafts. In just the past five years we have seen an impressive increase of campers per session, and love having the Club be a summer destination of choice for both the Congo Kids and their parents!
Safety & Security
Safety minded Team Members tasked with providing a safe and secure environment for the Club's Membership, Team Members and visiting guests. Security is the only department that provides campus coverage 24 hours a day and 365 days a year. The department responds to a wide range of calls every day, from vehicle assistance to medical/first aid and transportation. Some of the training conducted by our Team Members consists of CPR/Defibrillator/allergy, Cart Safety, Evacuation and other seasonal/pertinent training, which is brought to Team Members year round. The department works closely with the Fire Department and local law enforcement during tournaments, holidays, visits by notable guests and other large events, as well as county and state agencies in order to remain safety compliant.
